Adding an Employment Shift
Add and configure the company’s work shifts. Name them, and set up a timeline that indicates the start and end times of the shift, and the sign-in and sign-out times. Also, determine the allowable delay duration and designate specific days for the shift if needed.
- Note: Before starting, make sure to activate the Employee Attendance app in your account.
Steps to Add a Shift
- From the main menu, click on “Employees“.
- Click on “Shift Management“.
- Click on the “New Shift” button.
- Enter the shift information as follows:
- Name: Type the name of the shift as required.
- Type: Select from the drop-down list whether the shift is “Standard” or “Advanced“.
- If you choose the shift type “Standard”, enter the data as follows:
- Select the weekly working days by pressing the button next to each workday.
- Enter attendance details for workdays as follows:
- On Duty Time: Enter the shift start time.
- Off Duty Time: Enter the shift end time.
- Beginning In: Enter the time from which the system starts counting the employee’s sign-in time.
- Beginning Out: Enter the time at which the system stops counting the employee’s sign-in time.
- Ending In: Enter the time from which the system starts counting the employee’s sign-out time.
- Ending Out: Enter the time at which the system stops counting the employee’s sign-out time.
- Note: Time is entered in a 24-hour format.
- Last Time: The grace period (in minutes) allowed for the employee without being considered late.
- Start late time from on duty: Click the checkbox for this option to calculate the employee’s delay time from the on duty time of the shift.
- If you choose the shift type “Advanced“, enter the data as follows:
- Select the weekly working days by pressing the button next to each weekday.
- Enter attendance details information for each selected workday as mentioned above.
- Click on the “Save” button once you are done.
