How to add the QR Code to the Invoice

The QR Code automatically appears on the sales invoices. If the code does not appear on the invoice template, follow these steps:

1- Enabling the Electronic Invoice App

Make sure to activate the ‘Electronic Invoice” app  within your account by following these steps:

  1. From the main menu, click on ‘Settings’.
  2. Select from the menu “Apps Manager”.
  3. Activate the ‘KSA Electronic Invoice’  app under the ‘Sales Management’ section.

Go back to the invoice display and make sure the QR code appears on the template.

2-Adding the QR Code to an already saved Invoice Layout

If you already have an invoice template in your account and the QR code is not displaying after activating the electronic invoicing app, follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu, click on ‘Templates’.
  2. Select from the menu ‘Printable Templates’.
  3. Click on the card that says ‘Invoice/ Estimate Layouts’.
  4. Click on your default invoice template to access the template editing screen.
  5. Add the variable {%sa_qr_code_image%} to one of the designated data-entry fields on the template. (It is preferable to place this under ‘Business Info’ so it appears below the name of the organization or in the ‘Notes’ section to appear at the bottom after the items table.)
  6. Click the ‘Save’ button at the top.

Note: If your account’s default layout is a ‘Custom layout’, please contact our Implementations’ department to request the addition of the QR code to your template.
