Product Categories

Adding a new Category

1. Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
2. Click on “Product Settings”.
3. Click on the card titled “Categories”.
4. Click the button “New Category”.
5. Enter the new category details:
   • Name: Add the category name for the account.
   • Image: Upload an image to distinguish the category.
     • Note: Category images for products appear on the display screen in the “Point of Sale” and Shopf Front“ in the account.
   • Parent Category: You can select another category (previously added) to represent the primary category for this category.
     • Note: Leave this field unchanged if you want to save the new category as a main category.
   • Description: Add a description for the new category.
6. Click on the “Save” button.

Deleting a Product Category

1. Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
2. Click on “Product Settings”.
3. Click on the card titled “Categories”.
4. Click on the actions button “…” to the right of the category you want to delete.
5. Select “Delete” from the dropdown menu.
6. Click on “Yes” when the confirmation message appears.

• Note: If the deleted category is a “Parent Category”, its subcategories won’t be deleted and they will continue as main categories on the account.
